RBS - Tender Projects, Europe

In 2016, RBS used Priority Pass to allow their cardholders to enjoy the global airport lounge. In 2017, they opened the bidding. DragonPass and Assurant collaborated to bid for it and won the bid.

My Role

I was responsible for the design of the PowerPoint and the user journey.

Goals

To design PowerPoint and mockup to showcase Dragonpass's products and services to win the bid.

Challenge

Due to the company's limited resources, I was the only UX UI designer and I had to complete it within 2 days, so I had to figure out the key points and prioritize the work.

Understanding the Requirement

RBS is a high-end bank, so I had to streamline the process and the design had to be high-end and fashionable.

Target Audiences

All Asian Visa cardholders

Age:Above 18 years old
Feature:Travelers who go abroad once a year

Research

I referenced the process design of some international apps, such as Priority Pass, Trip Advisor, and Behance website. I learned how to make novel and attractive designs.

Design Process

Due to the limited timeline, I skipped the low-fidelity wireframe and directly used the paper wireframe as a reference to design the user interfaces and PowerPoint. After I completed the design, I sent it to stakeholders for feedback and changes.

Impact

We won the bid. Assurant was responsible for the design of the app. As a result, thousands of RBS cardholders have been using global airport lounges by using DragonPass membership every day after it launched online.

What I Learned

  • Research can bring in new insights and perspectives.
  • I effectively allocated time to complete the project on time and with high quality.
  • There are already good examples of some processes, and users are already getting used to them. Therefore, it is good to leverage it directly to save time.
